WeatherDots respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the WeatherDots app.

WeatherDots does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal information.

We do not collect personal identifiers such as name, email address, or account information
We do not create user accounts or require registration
We do not collect or store location data on our servers
We do not collect usage data, diagnostics, analytics, or crash reports
We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking technologies

WeatherDots has no backend servers that receive user data.

Location Information

If location services are enabled on your device, WeatherDots may use location information only on your device to display relevant weather conditions.

Location data is not collected, stored, or transmitted by WeatherDots
Location data is not linked to your identity
Location data never leaves your device under our control

You may enable or disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Data Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored locally on your device and remains under your control, including:

Saved locations
Visual preferences (such as dot colors)
App configuration settings

This information is not accessible to us and is never transmitted off your device.

Weather Data Providers

WeatherDots retrieves weather information directly from third-party weather services. Network requests are made from your device directly to these providers, not through WeatherDots servers.

Weather data providers include:

Apple Weather (WeatherKit), governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
Foreca, governed by Foreca's Privacy Policy
National Weather Service (a U.S. government service)

We do not receive, log, or store any data involved in these requests.

Important: While WeatherDots does not collect or transmit your data, these third-party weather services receive network requests from your device that may include:

Your IP address
Location coordinates (if you've granted location permission)
Device and operating system information

This information is transmitted directly to the weather service providers and is governed by their respective privacy policies. WeatherDots has no access to, does not log, and does not store any of this information. Apple WeatherKit may collect and use data for Apple's own purposes as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics and Tracking

WeatherDots does not use analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third-party monitoring tools. We do not track how you use the app.

Children's Privacy

WeatherDots does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is collected, there is no information to review, delete, or disclose.

Your Privacy Rights

Because WeatherDots does not collect or store personal data:

There is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete
We cannot identify individual users

App Store Privacy Labels

In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, WeatherDots has declared that it does not collect any data from users. This privacy policy accurately reflects that declaration. All data handling described in this policy aligns with our App Store privacy label disclosure.
